Air Malta is more than doubling
its capacity from Cardiff to Malta this year by offering over 15,000 seats for
travel between Malta and Wales this summer.
Due to popular demand in 2012 for the Cardiff flight the airline
is using a larger aircraft and adding a Friday evening flight to the existing
Tuesday morning service (source Cardiff Airport Website).
Then we had “Leading Spanish airline, Vueling has today launched
new winter services from Cardiff Airport which extends its flying programme to
an all year round operation following a positive response from Welsh
passengers.
The additional
flights to Malaga and Alicante will operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays,
extending the summer schedule. Flights are on sale from Thursday 23rd May and prices start at 39,99euros.
Following a successful 2012 and the launch of the 2013 summer
season Vueling further increased services on their summer programme to and from
Wales, also starting services earlier to meet the increased demand over the

Then we had - Lufthansa
is to launch new seasonal route, with Saturday-only Dusseldorf – Cardiff
operation on board CRJ900 aircraft. from 04MAY13

– Express bus service launched, departing every 20 minutes.
Then
last week we had Vueling releasing their summer 2014 schedule before EasyJet !
Then yesterday
we had Flybe announcing 4 new ski flight routes from Cardiff
Oh I nearly forget March 2013, Welsh Government buys Cardiff Airport
