Will the last person to leave switch the lights off please ?

As Jeremy Paxman would say on University Challenge here's your starter for 10. Les Mckeown,Eric Faulkner, Stuart Wood, Derek and Alan Longmuir who were they ?
They weren't a five man midfield put in place to stifle the home team in a Scottish Premier League football match, that's for sure. They were around in the 1970s and were heralded as the most successful British pop group since the Beetles. In case you haven't worked it out  yet  ithey gave rise to the phenomenon Rollermania.  Those of you who were around in that era may recall their first big hit Shangalang which reached number two in the UK hit parade.  Below is a classic you tube clip of the Rollers.

Which brings me rather tenuously on to the situation at Cardiff Airport.

To cut and paste some words in an email  from another member of the FlyCardiff team
Bye bye baby - The countdown has begun.
30th of October is the last day listed for flights with BMI Baby from Cardiff. Many routes have already disappeared much to the angst of many of our followers and members of the general public. The lack of any announcement regarding a replacement carrier is indeed concerning. We can only hope an announcement will be forthcoming soon, as many of our followers are already booking their flights for 2012, albeit via other airports. We need some New lo-cost airlines to service routes from Cardiff Airport and introduce the competitive edge to the market and get the airport buzzing once again"

"Any chance of getting this onto the blog, which I notice has been updated in a while ?" Job done Lawrence. Hope you like it ?

We really need your support with our campaign. The airport is the international gateway to Wales and is strategically and economically important to our economy, we must put pressure on those stakeholders who can positively impact it and ensure not just its survival but its renaissance.
